DMU Dubai is now seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Operations to work alongside the Pro Vice Chancellor (International) who leads the campus. As a member of the Dubai Leadership team, the Director of Operations will lead all professional services teams and oversee day-to-day operations of the campus at this important stage of its development. They will also establish the culture and infrastructure to underpin the next critical phase of that growth.
The Director of Operations will ensure the effective implementation of the University’s strategic objectives, compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks and efficient management of administrative systems and processes. Managing a budget of approximately AED 45 million, they will support the University Leadership team in making strategic decisions and leading change initiatives that enhance both student and staff experience.
The postholder should be an inspirational leader who can quickly build relationships with colleagues in Dubai and Leicester, together with a broader range of key local and international regulators and stakeholders including key contacts in the KHDA/CAA. They will possess significant experience in administration and management at a senior level within a UK higher education institution or similarly complex organisation. Experience in the region, whilst not essential, would be beneficial. They should be able to demonstrate a sustained record of achievement in professional services delivery. The knowledge and ability to manage significant budgets, capital expenditure, Estates, Finance, IT and HR services is essential.
