CARE International UK - 8533
CARE International UK is seeking an exceptional Chair of the Board of Trustees to help lead the organisation through its next strategic chapter.
Working as part of the global CARE confederation, we fight poverty and inequality in more than 100 countries, with women’s rights and leadership at the heart of our work. Our new four-year strategy will sharpen that focus further, at a time of significant change across international development.
As Chair, you will work closely with the Board and CEO to provide strong governance, strategic clarity and organisational resilience, helping CARE UK navigate a changing international development landscape. We are looking for an experienced international leader with strong Board and chairing experience, sound judgement, and the ability to lead through complexity, influence diverse stakeholders and support organisational change.
You will share CARE’s commitment to human rights, feminism, equality and diversity, and bring a collaborative, constructive approach to leadership. We particularly welcome candidates whose backgrounds and perspectives will further enrich the Board.
This is a voluntary role requiring approximately four days per month. If you believe leadership should be measured not only by what an organisation achieves, but by whose voices, rights and power it advances, we would love to hear from you.
Perrett Laver will conduct an executive search process in parallel with the public advertisement of the role. The Selection Panel will meet to decide upon a shortlist for the posts late October, following which, formal interviews with will take place in November. If you require any reasonable adjustments to assist you in the selection process, please advise us of these so that we can make appropriate arrangements.
