Catalysing change through hyper-local crisis response.

Resilio Fund is a collaborative philanthropic initiative that is transforming how the world responds to crises by centering local communities. We are seeking a strategic, commercially minded, and highly practical Chief Financial Officer to help build Resilio Fund’s financial and operational foundation.

Resilio Fund’s vision emerged from what we know is true: in moments of crisis, neighbours and community-led organisations are the first to respond and are invested in long-term solutions. Regardless of geography, incredible altruism, collective compassion and action happen in the aftermath of a crisis. Local communities know who needs what and how to give it efficiently, and that those acts grounded in self-help strengthen a sense of dignity, help psychosocial recovery, and build resilience. Resilio Fund is designed to strengthen that ecosystem by ensuring community-led responses are better recognised, resourced, and connected.

Founded and fiscally-sponsored by the Legatum Foundation, Resilio’s vision builds on the Foundation’s commitment to supporting local responses to humanitarian crises. Since 2021, the Legatum Foundation has strategically invested over $4 million to support community-led crisis response in Myanmar, Ethiopia, Sudan, Somalia, and the Philippines, and more recently in Lebanon and northeast India. With combined anchor commitments of more than $30 million from the Legatum Foundation and several core funders, Resilio launched in November 2025 and is grantmaking in multiple countries.

As Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will help design and implement the financial architecture, operational systems, and institutional processes required to scale a globally credible organisation operating across diverse and often complex international environments. The CFO will be familiar with both traditional and non-traditional financial transfers methods, networks, and platforms and be expected to operate as a strategic partner to Resilio Fund’s CEO and senior leadership team. This is a rare opportunity for a highly capable finance and operations leader to help build an ambitious, globally focused organisation operating in complex humanitarian environments.

The successful candidate will bring creativity and passion to serve communities in crisis, strong financial discipline, commercial judgement and operational pragmatism. You will be comfortable working in environments where the answer is not always obvious, where systems that exists are not necessarily part of the “traditional aid architecture,” and where financial control must be established and maintained without slowing the organisation’s ability to act.

You do not need to come from a conventional charity finance background. Indeed, Resilio Fund will benefit from someone who thinks outside of the box, who has operated in complex, international, commercial, investment, banking, development finance, grant-funded or frontier-market settings, and who can bring a rigorous, practical and entrepreneurial approach to building a credible global platform.

You will be equally comfortable advising the CEO and Board on strategic financial choices, engaging with donors and institutional partners, and getting close to partners and communities to ensure that systems, controls, reporting and processes actually work.

Above all, you will be humble, curious, collaborative, calm under pressure, and motivated by the opportunity to build something important from an early stage.

If you are a bold, visionary leader with a passion for impact and deep financial expertise, we would love to hear from you.

To apply, please submit a CV and covering letter, detailing how you fulfil the role description and personal specification below. The deadline for applications is Monday 6th July 2026, 9:00am BST.

The location of the role is flexible, but the Chief Financial Officer must be able to support different funding markets across Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and North America.

A competitive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate. Resilio Fund’s salaries include a cost of living adjustment to ensure similar purchasing parity across our global team. We contribute to staff pensions and offer a health stipend for staff in locations where national healthcare systems are not easily accessible. This is a full-time position.
