Appointment of Chief Financial Officer 

As Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will build and lead a unified global finance function across a multi-entity legal architecture, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer. At this exciting formative stage, we are now seeking an outstanding CFO who will develop a coherent financial strategy for a complex, distributed organisation. You will be responsible for the organisation's global financial architecture, its central grants management function, budgeting and forecasting, treasury and inter-entity management, and full financial compliance across each jurisdiction in which it operates. 


The successful candidate will bring a minimum of 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, including significant experience at CFO, Deputy CFO, Finance Director, or equivalent executive level. They will demonstrate deep expertise in nonprofit accounting, fund accounting, grant compliance and donor reporting. Experience managing multi-entity, multi-country financial operations is essential, as is sufficient fluency in Belgian, Dutch or German finance, regulation and compliance. An inspiring and collaborative leader, you will combine technical depth with the strategic judgment and comfort with ambiguity required to build financial systems and teams in an organisation where some structures are still being defined. Excellent communication skills are essential, including the ability to translate complex financial architecture for boards, donors, programme teams, and government and philanthropic partners.
