About EIT Water

EIT Water is Europe's innovation community for water, marine and maritime systems. It connects industry, innovators, researchers, educators and policymakers to tackle the most urgent water challenges from scarcity, drought and flooding to pollution and ecosystem decline. EIT Water is part of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a body of the European Union.

Founded in 2026, EIT Water has eight regional hubs across Europe and a mandate to deliver systemic innovation from source to sea. EIT Water is now establishing the governance structures that will guide its first Strategic Agenda and long-term impact.

Regional Hub Manager North - Aarhus, Denmark

The Regional Hub Manager is EIT Water's senior representative and business development, relationship and ecosystem lead for the North region, covering Denmark, the Faroe Islands, Finland, Greenland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. As the primary regional point of contact, the role builds and mobilises the regional Member, partner and participant community, connecting Nordic stakeholders to EIT Water's pan-European ecosystem and Action Programmes.

The role focuses on strengthening regional opportunities across the water, marine and maritime sectors, with particular relevance to smart water management and digital solutions, climate resilience and regenerative water strategies, water–energy integration, circular water systems, water quality and monitoring, and marine and coastal ecosystem innovation. Based in Aarhus within Water Valley Denmark, the role leverages the Nordic region's strong innovation ecosystem, world-leading digital water capabilities, high-quality testbeds and close collaboration between universities, utilities and industry to build collaboration and accelerate innovation, business creation and skills development.

Working for EIT Water centrally while operating alongside the regional host organisation, the role requires strong commercial, entrepreneurial and diplomatic capabilities to connect regional priorities and opportunities with European-level impact.
