The American College of Greece (ACG) is seeking an Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs (EVPAA) to serve as the institution’s senior academic officer. Europe’s oldest and largest accredited American college, ACG educates more than 8,000 students across four entities: Pierce (secondary education); Deree College (undergraduate and graduate studies); Deree, The American University of Greece, U.L.E (undergraduate and graduate studies), and the ALBA Graduate School of Business.
Reporting directly to the President and serving on the President’s Cabinet, the EVPAA serves in an enterprise-level chief academic role across ACG’s higher education entities, providing academic leadership for Deree College, ALBA Graduate Business School, and Deree, The American University of Greece ULE. The role ensures academic excellence, coherence, quality assurance, and innovation across the institution.
ACG became the first American higher education institution abroad to achieve U.S. accreditation in 1981 through the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE). Deree College provides undergraduate programs validated by the Open University in the UK. Deree, The American University of Greece, U.L.E has been licensed by the Ministry of Education to operate beginning fall 2026, in collaboration with Roger Williams University in the U.S. With over 50 partner universities across the US, Europe and Asia and an alumni network of over 77,000 worldwide, ACG serves a diverse academic community, supported by more than €12.9 million in annual need-based and merit financial aid. The American University of Greece Foundation manages a largely unrestricted endowment of over $320 million that supports operations across the entire institution.
The EVPAA serves as Chief Academic Officer for Deree College, with full responsibility for undergraduate and graduate academic administration, faculty leadership, curricula, and academic policy. While academic leaders of ALBA and the Deree University U.L.E. report directly to the President, in accordance with their respective governance requirements, they operate under the academic authority and day-to-day guidance of the EVPAA on institution-wide academic matters.

Qualifications
A doctoral degree and a distinguished record of senior academic leadership are required, along with experience in governance, accreditation, budgeting, and collaborative institutional leadership. Experience in American-style, international, or multi-unit higher education environments is preferred.
