The Australian National University is a world-leading university in Australia’s capital, with excellence embedded in its approach to research and education. Since our foundation in 1946 as an intellectual powerhouse for the nation, our motto ‘first, to know the nature of things’ has guided the University’s purpose. At the heart of ANU is the creation of knowledge: research that deepens our understanding of humanity and the science that underpins our existence. This knowledge shapes everything we do. It advances human understanding, informs our teaching, and contributes to human prosperity.
As we expand our research translation and business development activities, we remain committed to the value of pure research as the foundation of new knowledge. We will continue to undertake research that transforms society and builds national capability, focusing resources on areas where we lead Australia and beyond, and ensuring streamlined, high-quality systems and services that support all research activity and collaboration.
This role offers a unique opportunity to help shape the future of ANU as we strengthen our national role, global standing and our long-standing commitment to excellence.
