fTLD Registry Services (fTLD) is the domain authority for .Bank and .Insurance, the exclusive domain extensions for verified banks and insurance providers and distributors. Created in 2011 by the American Bankers Association and the Bank Policy Institute, fTLD launched .Bank in 2015 and .Insurance in 2016 with a clear purpose: to create more secure and trusted places online for financial organizations and the people they serve.
fTLD is a small, highly focused organization with influence that extends across financial services, cybersecurity, digital identity, and internet governance. They are an international registry whose team works closely with leaders from banking and insurance, cybersecurity and domain security, registrars, technology providers, trade associations, regulators, and an industry advisory council. As artificial intelligence accelerates phishing, impersonation, and automated attacks, fTLD’s mission to support trusted digital identity and stronger online security is becoming increasingly important.
fTLD is seeking its next President to serve as the organization's chief executive and lead the continued development of .Bank and .Insurance. Working closely with the Operating Manager and Board of Directors, the President will be responsible for advancing the adoption, security, reputation, and long-term growth of the domains while shaping fTLD's future strategic direction.
The President will lead the development and execution of fTLD's strategic plans; identify opportunities to increase awareness, adoption and utilization of .Bank and .Insurance; and deepen relationships across the banking, insurance, cybersecurity, and domain name communities. The role will serve as a leading external advocate for fTLD, cultivating relationships with financial organizations, trade associations, regulators, registrars, and strategic partners while representing the organization across ICANN, industry forums, conferences, and other stakeholder settings.
fTLD is seeking a leader who combines relevant industry experience with strategic vision, business development capability, and strong operational leadership. The successful candidate will bring significant experience within the domain name industry or a related environment, an understanding of areas such as ICANN, internet governance, registry operations, cybersecurity or highly regulated industries, and the ability to build trusted relationships across a complex stakeholder landscape. Given fTLD's size, the President must also be comfortable taking a hands-on, entrepreneurial, and service-oriented approach to leadership. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong judgment, experience working with boards or governing bodies, and the ability to build consensus among diverse stakeholders while maintaining a clear strategic focus.
To apply, please submit a CV and cover letter detailing how you fulfil the role description and personal specification quoting reference 8673. The deadline for applications is 9:00am ET on Friday, October 30, 2026.
fTLD is a fully remote company. The President will work from home and will occasionally travel to Washington, D.C. for training, meetings, and other business purposes. The position is expected to have about 20% of domestic and international travel associated with performing the duties of the position.
fTLD’s competitive benefits program includes paid time off, medical, dental, vision, group term life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance, short and long-term disability, a 401(k) plan, a deferred compensation program, and other voluntary benefits such as term life and spouse and dependent life.
The expected compensation is $375,000-$475,000 USD.
