Confidential University focused on the arts and culture, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is entering a new era through Vision 2030, with arts and culture at the center of its social and economic transformation. As part of this ambitious agenda, a new University has been established as the first in the MENA region dedicated entirely to arts and culture. This pioneering institution offers an unparalleled range of programs across theatre, film, music, literature, heritage, architecture, design, visual arts, and culinary arts — from vocational training through to doctoral research.
We are now seeking to appoint an exceptional leader as the inaugural Dean of Student Affairs. This is a unique opportunity to shape a comprehensive, inclusive, and globally connected student experience at a founding institution that aims to become a hub for cultural education, knowledge exchange, and creative innovation.
Reporting to the Provost and serving as the chief student advocate on the University Leadership Council, the Dean of Student Affairs will lead the strategic and operational direction of the Student Affairs function.
The role spans the design and delivery of innovative student services, the promotion of student engagement and well-being, and the creation of an inclusive environment that supports academic achievement, personal development, and leadership growth. The Dean will also represent the University in national and international forums to strengthen its profile and impact in student engagement and development.
The portfolio will cover the full spectrum of student services, including housing, counseling, orientation, career services, clubs and organizations, and student outreach. The Dean will be responsible for shaping student policies and representation frameworks, building strong collaborations across academic and administrative units, and ensuring that Student Affairs is a driver of excellence and innovation.
Candidates will bring 10–15 years of progressive leadership experience in student affairs, higher education leadership, or related domains, with a strong record of managing complex student service operations and student-centered initiatives in multicultural and international environments. They will demonstrate expertise in designing and assessing student programs that foster wellness, success, and inclusion, alongside proven operational capabilities in planning, budgeting, and performance measurement.
Fluency in English is essential, and proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable. The successful candidate will be a compassionate, innovative, and collaborative leader, able to inspire trust and build strong connections with students, faculty, and stakeholders.
This appointment offers a rare platform to shape a transformative student experience and contribute to a pioneering institution that is redefining arts and cultural education in the region and across the world.
