 About the Faculty of Business and Management

The Faculty of Business and Management (FBM) offers an integrated business education that embraces up-to-date international curricula; the adoption of interactive teaching and learning methodologies and the latest technology; the application of academic knowledge and technology to professional contexts; and bridging the business and management cultures between China and the world.


FBM offers 9 undergraduate programmes; namely, Accounting, Finance, Applied Economics, Business Analytics, Management of Human Resources, Marketing Management, E-Business Management and Information Systems, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and Digital Media Management, 1 research postgraduate (PhD) programme in Accounting and Business Management, and 2 taught master's programmes, one in Communication (Media Management Concentration), and another one in Accountancy. All the programmes aspire to not only equip students with effective communication, presentation, analytical skills, and self-confidence, but also the skills and competencies to develop and apply the latest technology (e.g., AI, machine learning, analytics) into their chosen professions, thus enhancing innovation and competitiveness in both academic and professional careers.

The appointee with background in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Management of Human Resources, Marketing Management, e-Business Management & Information Systems, or Entrepreneurship & Innovation are welcome.


Job Description

Candidates with teaching interest and key research strength in one or more of the following subject areas:


1) Consumer Behaviour and Psychology, Digital Marketing, Customer Relationship Management, Brand Management, Digital Marketing Analytics, , Digital Content Production and Marketing, Retail Management, Personal Selling and Sales Management, Business to Business or Industrial Marketing, Service Management and Marketing, Marketing Research, Marketing in China, Business Forecasting and Machine Learning, Deep Learning for AI-Driven Business Applications, AI in Marketing, Advanced Marketing Analytics.

2) Human Resource Management, Business/People Analytics, Cross-Cultural and Comparative Management, Labour Relations and Law, Organizational Behaviour, Applied Social Psychology, Organizational Psychology, AI in HR, Negotiation and Conflict Resolution.

3) Business Ethics, Strategic Management, Leadership Studies, International Business, Business Communications, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Corporate Social Responsibility, Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), Service Learning and Community Engagement, Business Research Methods, Business Analytics, Special Topics in Applied Business Artificial Intelligence, Business Ethics and Governance of Artificial Intelligence.


Job Requirement

Candidates should have a PhD degree in a related discipline. Successful candidates are expected to be committed to excellence in undergraduate or postgraduate teaching. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrable ability to undertake independent research leading to outcomes with a strong impact, such as publication in high quality, internationally recognized, indexed journals and scholarly presses. Academic rank will be determined in accordance with successful candidate’s experience and accomplishments.


Benefit and Appointment Terms

Commencing salaries will be commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience. Fringe benefits include housing allowance, leave, social insurance and commercial insurance. Appointments to these positions will initially be made on a fixed-term contract with mutual agreement.
