Research Associate

The Role


The Research Associate is responsible for identifying and engaging exceptional candidates, effectively representing and advocating for the client and opportunity. They are responsible for building diverse and well-qualified talent pools, producing high-quality documentation, and demonstrating a strong understanding of both the candidate field and the broader market context. By combining the intellectual and analytical skills necessary to grasp complex briefs and the research skills to identify world-leading candidates for leadership roles, the Research Associate role is fundamental to our business. Flexible, rigorous and attracted to complexity, you will have the advocacy skills to engage world-class senior leaders on behalf of our varied client base.


You will work under your own initiative in a fast-paced environment to deliver consistently excellent results. Throughout your time at Perrett Laver, you will be part of a strong, global network of colleagues who inspire and encourage you as you develop in the role while making a real difference to our client institutions.


The position also requires a personable nature with strong teamwork, attention to detail and strong communication skills who is willing to actively contribute and support internal project teams and colleagues more generally.


This position will be based in Perrett Laver’s Sydney office, with regular engagement with colleagues in many of our global offices. Perrett Laver supports a flexible hybrid working model.
