Maynooth University is seeking to appoint an Executive Dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering. As a member of the University Executive, the appointee will work collegially with staff in the Faculty to lead the development of the Faculty in alignment with the University Strategic Plan 2023-2028, building on and diversifying the strengths of the Faculty and providing executive leadership to its constituent Departments and Schools which include: Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Mathematics and Statistics, Maynooth International Engineering College, Physics, Psychology, Nursing, and Sport Science and Nutrition. The Executive Dean will be supported in their role by Associate Deans in Teaching & Learning, International, and Research & Engagement, and by an administrative team. 

The successful appointee will demonstrate strong experience with operational and strategic leadership in a relevant environment combined with an excellent track record in research and teaching in an academic discipline aligning with current and future plans for the Faculty. They will have a key role in promoting and facilitating cross-university opportunities for teaching, research and engagement, and will have the ambassadorial skills to represent the Faculty and University externally at a national and international level.
