Perrett Laver is now seeking to hire bright, dynamic, and meticulous individuals to join our team in Central Hong Kong. We have openings for the role of Research Associate and for the role of Consultant or Associate Consultant.

These roles draw upon the intellectual skills necessary to grasp a complex brief; the research skills to identify people who are at the highest levels in their professions; the advocacy skills to engage such candidates; the motivation to serve our clients to the best of our abilities; and the capacity to work as part of a core project team and a wider corporate team. You will have a thirst for knowledge, a methodical mind-set and high attention to detail that will enable you to carry out comprehensive and global searches for exceptionally talented candidates.

Research Associate

Research Associates are responsible for managing the research phase of each project, including background analysis, candidate identification and engagement, and candidate care. Research Associates work closely with and support both the Project Management Team and the Consultant(s) in the delivery of projects through to candidate appointment.

Consultant / Associate Consultant 

Consultants and Associate Consultants are part of the key driver of Perrett Laver’s business success. The roles entail a high level of advocacy and sales primarily demonstrated through new business wins, success in sales pitches and personal performance in service-related interactions with clients.

Consultants are the primary contact for all clients and must possess managerial and leadership skills to manage internal project delivery teams. During interactions with both candidates and clients, the Consultant needs to have the ability to bring a depth of understanding and insight into corporate priorities and individual interactions, as well as building and retaining positive relationships that benefit both the company and our clients.

5. A willingness to occasionally work flexible hours (mainly due to time zone differences because our work is global);
6. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese;
7. Ability to prioritize and plan well across multiple simultaneous tasks and projects;
8. Strong sense of responsibility, appreciation for responsible handling of sensitive information, and appropriate discretion including the ability to identify crucial information in conditions of partial opacity;
9. Committed, responsible and results-oriented;
10. Enthusiastic and proactive, with a problem-solving approach to work;
11. Collaborative and team-oriented;
12. A Master’s degree or above is preferred, but fresh graduates are also welcome to apply.

To be considered as Consultant/ Associate Consultant, we additionally seek:

1. A track-record of winning new business and leading projects to success within annual revenue targets;  
2. A Master’s degree or above; 
3. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese; 
4. Minimum of 5 years’ work experience. 

Desirable

1. A Graduate degree;
2. Fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin;
3. Experience having worked with universities, academic organizations or schools or NGO.
